Lunch and Learns

J & R Staff will provide in shop training and food at lunch time to minimize work disruption and provide instruction on topics of your choice. Factory Representatives or technical specialists may work in conjunction with J & R. Technicians and shop personnel learn without having to give up personal or production time, allowing your shop to maintain its work schedule and productivity. Keeping your shop at the leading edge of new and improved technologies.

Evening Seminars

Training is provided after work hours are completed. This format enables trainers to provide more in depth instruction on more complicated issues. A light meal allows technicians to learn without disruption. In depth discussions and hands on availability make this a good choice for training.
 

On-Site Training Center
J & R Training Center

Located at 82 Herbert Street Framingham Massachusetts, in conjunction with a comfortably spacious Conference room, J & R has a facility that enables us to train on multiple subjects including sanding, buffing and masking. Plus we offer practical hands-on use of welding equipment including mig & aluminum welders, steel & aluminum dent pullers, and 240 volt Resistance welders. Our own training facility is available to all customers and provides you the opportunity to make an informed decision on equipment purchases based on actual use.

I-CAR Training

Use of J & R’s Training Center has allowed I-CAR a presence in the area for local training. Providing a location to train local tech’s for their I-Car Certifications helps both the shops and the technicians to stay current and provide quality repairs to their customers.
 

Regional Training Centers
Davies Vocational High School

DuPont Learning and Development Center is located in Lincoln, RI and readily accessible from Route 95. This state of the art facility provides hands on training as well as classroom instruction. Two Spray booths allow for practical application instruction as well as diagnostic and problem solving capabilities. Classroom with audio visual aids allows for background and technical learning. DuPont, Standox, Hot Hues, Dupont Industrial Coatings, & Fleet/Commercial classes start at 8:30AM and end at approximately 4:00 PM.

Local Auto Body Shops

J & R has the availability of several local shops to provide training for larger groups. This enables us to reach a larger audience at one time and to provide instruction in a practical environment.

Painter Certification (meeting EPA regulations)
J & R will come into your shop with the trained personnel to certify your painters on proper use & maintenance of spray equipment in compliance with current EPA Regulations. We provide the required instruction and information to the painters as well as testing and certifying the results.
 

Respirator Fit Testing
J & R will make available all necessary medical evaluations forms prior to the fit testing. New respirators are required. Technicians must be clean shaven. All these steps are designed to keep your shop safe and avoid fines associated with non-compliance.
